We care about our products and logically do our best to deliver them in top condition. To keep our products in good condition after purchase, we have some usefull tips for use.

 

Dachshund coats

• Wool coat: The coatdoes not need to be washed as often as you might think. Dirt and (wet) sand can be removed with a towel or soft brush after drying. Still wish to wash the coat? Then wash the wool coat with closed Velcro, inside out and in a washing bag in the washing machine on the wool wash program without fabric softener. The coat is not suitable for drying in the dryer, instead let the coat dry lying down. After washing, use a dirt and water-repellent textile spray to have the coat in top condition again for use.
• Rain coat: Follow the washing instructions above, but use a special detergent to maintain the water-repellent properties of the coat. For optimal protection, we recommend that you also treat the rain coat with a water and dirt-repellent textile spray.

 

Leather collars and leashes

The leather we use is very easy to maintain. Dirt can easily be brushed off when it has dried with a soft brush or towel. With intensive use, a colourless leather cream, beeswax or (light!) leather oil can help nourish the leather. Please note, never leave leather products under tension or dry near a heat source after exposure to water to prevent drying out and/or damage. Perhaps superfluously: never wash leather in the washing machine.

Is your dog a swimmer? We advise you to take off the collar and leash and not to go swimming with the leather items.

The brass parts do not require any extra maintenance. Only check moving or rotating parts such as the carabiner to ensure that no dirt gets stuck between them.

 

Sleeping bags

Our sleeping bags can easily be washed at 30 degrees without fabric softener. Handy: turn the inside of the sleeping bag outwards so that all parts can be cleaned. We advise not to dry the sleeping bags in the dryer.

 

Serving boards

It is best to grease the serving boards with mineral oil or cutting board oil before use, so that grease and food residues do not penetrate the wood. The serving board is not suitable for the dishwasher, so wash the board by hand. Do not soak the serving board in water and let it dry standing or hanging.
